PAGB Awards Advisory Day Workshop

The East Anglian Federation of Photographic Societies (EAF), of which our club is a member, is holding a workshop and advisory day for the Awards for Photographic Merit (APM) on September 1 2019 at Foxton, near Cambridge.

This is a workshop and advisory day to look at the process of gaining an APM award under the Photographic Alliance of Great Britain (PAGB) supported awards scheme. These are: Credit (CPAGB), Distinction (DPAGB), and Master (MPAGB). Once gained, these awards are held for life at no further fee, and the holder can use the appropriate letters after their name, if they wish.

Some members of our club have already signed up for this workshop, but the EAF says that places are very limited – so if you want to get advice on whether your prints, or pdis, may be up to standard for an award, or just want to observe the process, you would be wise to get your application form in soon.

The link to the page and form is here – and if you download the Word version you can fill it in online, though you do have to then print it out anyway and post it off with a cheque for the application fee: http://www.eaf.org.uk/eaf-events.html . The address for the workshop is Foxton Village Hall, Hardman Road, Foxton, Cambridge CB22 6RN.

In the coming season at KLDCC we will be looking at the process to try to gain a PAGB award (in many ways a different process to the Royal Photographic Society’s RPS distinctions system, which we will also look at), so this official advisory day and workshop should fit in well with our club plans.
